RTS-860

Version 3.2.2 Available Patches

Several patches are available for RTS-860 Version 3.2.2. The following list describes the purpose of each patch. If you require any of the releases, please contact Customer Support

RTS-860 Patch Release 3.2.2b

This release contains a patch to the RTS-860 SuperCard Board Support Library (pulibXX.a). In Release 3.2.2, the trap handler does not clear the software "VSB DMA in progress" flag on a VSB DMA done interrupt, causing multiple calls to x_move_data_() to hang. The file in this patch corrects the problem.

RTS-860 Patch Release 3.2.2c

This release contains a patch to the RTS-860 CSPI SCSI Support Software for the MVME167 and MVME162 Embedded Hosts. This problem was due to an incorrect SCSI initialization sequence that, under certain circumstances, would cause any code that used the CSPI SCSI driver to be unable to find the local SCSI disk. Usually, but not always, having a tape in the tape drive during bootup would work around the problem. This problem generally manifested itself in UCI, at the point where the SCSI disk was supposed to be mounted or formatted. The SCSI startup sequence is corrected in this patch, and a new UCI has been built using the corrected version. This problem does not affect the MVME147.

RTS-860 Release 3.2.2d

This release contains the SuperLink implementation of the QuickRing I/O interface for the SuperCard-4 (SC4-SL/SLX). This includes the following components:
  • new runtime library with SuperLink transfer capability for x_move_data() and x_ioctl(),
  • host utilities for generating the SuperLink page table that is linked into the user application,
  • new UCI commands: slconfig (resets a SuperLink ring) and sldiscover (determines SuperLink network topology), and
  • an example showing a SuperLink transfer with interrupt.
SuperLink performance is strongly dependent on the network topology of your RTS-860 system, as well as on the flow of data within your application. Performance is maximal for applications with high aggregate bandwidth and short individual data paths. For further information, see the SuperLink Interface Manual.

RTS-860 Patch Release 3.2.2e

This patch contains the Superlink Diagnostics.

RTS-860 Patch Release 3.2.2f

This patch contains a bug fix. A problem was reported with Superlink boards attempting to transfer data across the VSB. The VSB broadcast window was not being set up correctly, because the Superlink CSR cannot be written to using memcpy.

RTS-860 Patch Release 3.2.2g

This patch contains a bug fix. A problem was reported with SL_page_table being undefined if a non-Superlink application linked. A dummy version of SL_page_table has been added to $MTI_DIR/bsp/sc4/m80860/cspi.a
