The 2000 SERIES was the first generaton of FastCluster products to feature the compute processing density, rugged packaging, outstanding performance, scalable open architecture and clustering technology required to support sonar, radar, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) applications intended for deployment in the harsh and confined environments of shipboard, airborne, and land-mobile platforms.

The 2000 SERIES includes:

• the FastCluster 2942 6U VME64x Blade with four PowerPC 7457 AltiVec processing nodes,
  
• the StarGate 2924R Rugged 6U Board with two PMC Expansion Slots,
  
• and the 2914 I/O Bridge VMEbus Single Board Computer with a powerful I/O subsystem.
