| Multicore Processing with Linux SMP and MPI | Technical Seminar delivered by Stephen Prause, CSPI Field Application Engineer, at the RTECC Shows in Boston, MA (May 2008) and in Melbourne, FL (February 2008). Using an open Architecture with Linux SMP on Freescale 8641D dual core processor and MPI (Message Passing) on Myri-10G 10 Gigabit switch fabric offers tremendous benefits for high performance embedded DSP applications. This presentation covered SMP, scheduling, processor affinity, MPI machine file management and use of Myri-10G networking and shared memory between cores. |
