CSP Inc. Integrates High Speed I/O Streaming
with High-Performance Computation
in the New StarGate I/O Blade

BILLERICA, Massachusetts, November 13, 2003 - CSP Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI) MultiComputer Division, a leading supplier of embedded high-performance cluster computing systems, leads the way in high-performance computation and integrated high speed I/O streaming capabilities with the new StarGate Model 2923 I/O Blade. The StarGate surpasses previous generation products delivering more than twice the computational power and enhanced I/O functionality.

"Responding to the needs of our customers, StarGate was developed to provide the high-speed data acquisition and rapid execution times necessary for the complex signal processing demands of defense applications such as Software Defined Radio, RADAR, SONAR, and surveillance," stated William Bent, Jr., General Manager and Vice President of CSPI MultiComputer Division. "StarGate is another example of CSPI's commitment to offer its customers cost effective solutions based on the most advanced open standard technologies."

StarGate is one of the initial products in CSPI's new generation of MultiComputers that benefit from the exceptional performance provided by the 1 GHz Motorola 7457 PowerPC microprocessors with AltiVec™ technology and a 1 GB memory subsystem. The StarGate Model 2923 I/O Blade is equipped with two independent processing nodes, each with access to two 64-bit/66 MHz PCI buses. The unique design of the StarGate, supporting two fast PCI buses per processor, enables concurrent I/O streaming and data processing.

StarGate is available with either the open source Linux operating system and GNU toolkit or the industry standard VxWorks™ real-time operating system and Tornado II development tools suite. The software environment also incorporates CSPI's highly optimized ISSPL-ALT and VSIPL math libraries and the Message Passing Interface (MPI) library for interprocessor communications.

More information on the StarGate I/O Blade is available in a data sheet on the CSPI web site at http://www.cspi.com/multicomputer/products/2000_SERIES/stargate_2923.pdf. Availability of the StarGate Model 2923 I/O Blade is 60 days after receipt of order (ARO).
